A very nice work in every aspect. I would like to have one myself. I would replace the one cast ball by two smaller ones for security reasons. The symmetry is indispensable for the inertia-impact action for this kind of presses. A ball (shape) isn't imperative - a disc (...two!) with the same mass are easier to define and to make. If you are preoccupied with size, cast your own lead (...roofer) weights in a bean can.
