Here’s a little mod for a Flir Thermal Cam that allows me to view and record video of the Flir Image with my IPhone.
It’s an Otter Defender Series holster with an angle bracket attached to it via heavy duty adhesive tape. This bracket is then attached to the tripod mount hole at the bottom of the Flir Pistol grip with an eye bolt. When the phone is clipped into the holster, the camera faces the Flir screen at the minimum focus distance.
I also attached an anti glare hood between the 2 devices. The hood material is a scrap piece of outdoor carpet.
I find that it works rather well with the exception of the annoying default image stabilizer that the iPhone uses when recording video that shifts the Flir screen slightly out of frame when it detects motion even though there is zero motion relative to each device. I may be able to solve this by using the Filmic Pro Video app which can disable the stabilization.
