so producers, directors and fellow techies at times tries to cover up "The Embarrassing Secret" by hauling in FX onstage.
Panic all over: -The more - the merrier, the newer (untested), promising gear the better seems to be "the method"...
When the show (consequently) bombs at the box office there's always a few technical problems/ staff to try to put the blame on.
But then it's just me, seeing this happen a few times too often, now trying to retire from the business after 35 yrs...
Yeah, sometimes when I watch a good movie from several years ago I realize that many high dollar movie productions these days rely too much on CGI and not so much on acting and a good script. "Special effects" when overdone, which is usual, gets tiring to watch.
Stupid is forever, ignorance can be fixed.
