Fitting linear slides to a lathe cross slide part 2

About three weeks ago I posted part 1 of this project. Step by step method for upgrading a lathe cross slide to linear ball rails. . That gave an outline of my plans. Part 2 describes the modifications made to the cross slide to fit the "trucks" on the ball rails. I do not show any tedious machining, I show the methods and ideas for the alignment, modifications and fitting. A simple but effective oiling system is implemented.

Part 3. will show the modifications to the top of the saddle to align and fit the rails

I had intended for part 2 to be posted a couple of weeks ago but I was waiting for the linear rails to arrive, I have everything now and part 3 should be ready in a week.
