Sorry, All I see there is a winding mechanism. the fire hose went in clean, and came out clean, and wound.
    Where was the cleaning cycle?

I suspect there is more to this machine than meets the eye the hose may have been soaked or washed in another machine then transported to the pressure testing and winding machine in that bin for the last phase of preparing it for return to the fire truck. There could also be some process going on in the area where the hose is fed into the machine
Never try to tell me it can't be done

Yes, I suppose you are correct. Either that or the video editor that made it knows nothing about fire hose's!

OK... It bothered me enough to research it.

Turns out what we see in the GIF, is the final step:
The winding of a washed, pressure tested, dried hose.
Check it out for your own curiosity...

I find that many of these videos appear to have been made by 5 year old's, But then I get to thinking that would be disparaging the 5 year old's abilities as they would edit something to be far more entertaining, and most likely more informative as well.
