That's one way. Just drag you own personal gas station along with you for extending your mission range. Once the towed tank was empty just sever the connection

I lived in Yarmouth in England during the war and around 1944 one night I counted 14 V1's flying over on their way to London. The last one's pulse engine stopped over head, you know this has happened because the horrible buzz noise stopped and the yellow glow of the exhaust flame went out. About two minutes later a large flash of light appeared several miles away followed a few seconds later the rumble of the explosion. The following morning I walked to where I thought it had landed. Luckily the bomb had crashed into a field with no one being injured. The explosion of the bomb had blasted a crater over ten feet deep into the soft clay ground. So when ever I read about these terrible bombs I remember that night and wonder who were affected by the other thirteen bombs.
