Took a minute to realize the difference compared to the process of winding fiberglass on pipes at work. The roving is run thru a resin bath on it's way to the pipe, this is dry. The resin must be applied after, with vaccum perhaps to insure complete wetting. Familiar yet different.
At work the fiberglass is wrapped on pipes as a rock-sheild when applied over poly-iso foam and to help prevent corrosion when applied over steel.
