Festool sander vacuum hose adaptator

As I'm working on my bed restoration, I was a bit fed up with my 25+ years old power sander and I decided that it was time to replace it. I purchased something that should last hopefully another 25 years.
And I'm really happy with it !
But, I didn't have the vacuum of the same brand that should go with it and in particular the socket for connecting the hose is very specific, so I had do make an adapter.

This is a bit specific, but if someone happens to have the same need one day, hope he will find here the correct dimensions to make one on the lathe.



It is made out of POMC plastic (similar to Delrin I think). The inside bore is tapered in order to fit exactly the socket outer taper. see the dimensions in mm on the paper draft.
The hose inner diameter is 32mm.





I must say that this sander is incredibly efficient in dust collecting, and you can work with no risk even without a mask (as long as you use a vacuum).
