This pretty much obsoletes conventional shoeing. It distributes load way better, absorbs shock and protects the frog. I don't have any experience with them, but I've been reading up. This wasn't a thing when I grew up around horses. It looks like there are other designs that are completely adhesive based and do not require nails.
