Extinct Turnspit dog breed for turning wheels to power appliances. Apparently the breed was abandoned with the rise of "automaton roasting-jacks".

Found with some Chinese industrial GIFs. Could be a training device for racing dogs, but would not surprise me at all if this was powering machinery.

I think you'd be disappointed how much power you'd get out of that contraption. I bet it would be less than 50 watts.
