Wickers Armstrong as in the VA-3 hovercraft,I would imagine. A very old company with many acquisitions over the years and more than a few mergers and subsequent
name changes, involved in shipbuilding, artillery, tanks, aircraft, you name it Vickers was involved. However I think Vickers hydraulics was a completely different manufacture.

Certainly not exclusive, Rolls Royce and others come to mind...no jokes about Lucas.

Vickers made just about everything from petrol pumps (Gilbarco) to gun sights, mostly into armaments from ship gun turrets to small arms and of course the famous machine gun. MOD cut backs brought about their demise.
As for Lucas its difficult to make a joke about a joke.
