Extender help

I have a Craftsman lawn tractor I use for general work, not mowing, and I am looking to fabricate a pedal extender so that my grandson can operate my lawn tractor. Any Ideas would be appreciated. I would like to remove it when he is not using it. I have googled it and no good ideas. Thanks, Scott
