A total waste the gear house winches slewing rings and support tower could easily have been up-cycled for other purposes The same goes for the lattice booms and Jibs.

depends on the fatigue life remaining - highly stressed, or highly critical machines like that have shorter life spans due to fatigue cracks, or the fear thereof. You often see EWPs, cranes etc being auctioned off at 10 years old, and they go cheap because the legislated inspections to prolong their working life further costs as much as a new machine. People buying the old machines are severely limited in what they can commercially use them for until they get the inspections done.

I wonder why they did them more or less simultaneously rather than waiting a minute to evaluate the first one's collapse?
