    I would have 3D printed it to find some of these problems. Then I’d make it from AL to learn the rest. Only then would I go for steel let alone tool steel.

    Very nice freehand drawing! I would not use the guide bars at all because of of the 'rectangularity' issues that they come with them.
    You already have the very precise round table grooves. Why not use 3 of your dovetail stops (circular and hardened top) to index your parts? 2 in direction x and 1 in direction y. (For repeatability and the 3rd stop you need an additional groove in you table). If you can trust your visual judgement: 2 stops in 2 grooves may work satisfactorily.
