    Fair question, Bony;

    Well, threads at HMT.net are laden with concise technical discussions of the highest order. Even higher when Marv K posts solutions containing elevated mathematics.
    Hence, if opportunities to express levity [humorless members declare as 'hacks'] occur, let's just say the badger gets loose. It'd be a fault not directing attention to prime defense exhibit "A" within Off Topic Forum, where Shop Truths, Phrases, Tales; and Outright Lies carries on, via happiest band of miscreants around. No turn goes un-stoned. Some are known to attach musical interludes or topical bits of movie script. Such is the free-for-all known as the internet.
    Thank you Al Gore.

    Would have to have been after, because poms think that "the bush" is something on which blackberries grow.

    "Poms", previously unknown vernacular to most Yanks.
    Turns out, alternately a slur; or later, partially affectionate traditional reference by AU, NZ, and SA [as colonists] towards those Empire residents, chiefly in Britain.

    Don't care much what you call me; long as not too late for dinner.

    Respect always, you old kodger. From a possibly yet even older codger!
    Despite 40 years of industry, and partially simultaneous 26 year Navy career, I've managed equally absorbing contacts via internet in a comparatively mere fractional time period. This unbordered aspect is our 'nets best single aspect.

    sounds as though we might actually be close to the same age. I'll admit to closing 77 (two months)

    Uh-oh...my head start was at 30, when friends teased me as old. That erroneous title was based on their own less than appreciative views on history, labor, ethics and particularly music.
    Outlived at least two. Turns out I was right. Or stubborn.
    And a mere 66. . .

    You're forgiven, and in any case, we "old farts" must stick together.

    Ok time to own up, I'm a pom too, born I London just after WWII though I've lived in Au since I was 2. It's handy having dual nationality, I can freely enter UK as an EU passport holder in the shorter queue and get back into Au hassle free when I'm sick of the cold and need some more sunshine.
