It is working just fine - there is just so much tar, you can't see anything else.
    (Or it is not working.)

interesting that they use what looks like water to break the connection between the tar and the bucket surface.

Water must remain separate from the tar as it would if you mix water and oil. It is was trapped in pockets in the tar, it might explode when the tar is melted.

I find it fascinating that the tar falls out as a clump. Then before the bucket gets back with the next load the previous one has "flowed" seamlessly into the mass already loaded. Tar is weird stuff!!!

Black silly putty! Don't play with it at the kitchen table...

Is that a Chinese video or one of ours that has a hidden connection to a Chinese server? Hard to find a camera that doesn't these days.

I can't make out the writing on the RR cars. Could be a cleanup operation from a spilled tanker car? Near the bucket teeth you can see where the load broke loose from the rest when the bucket lifted it. It would be interesting to see the rest of operation.

That is true of many of the short gifs. Guys making videos of making tools often make theirs way too long and people trying to show these things make theirs way too short to fully explain the event
