ER 20 collet holder from drill shank

I had a No 3 MT drill that was beyond redemption and the shanks are machinable (same size as my lathe mandrel) so I decided to make an ER 20 collet holder from it.
Easy job really using a standard closing nut and drilling through clearance for 13mm.
This is the most accurate form of mounting and quick to use and is proving very useful.
The 8 degree taper is the only critical part so I made a taper gauge for that which I will use again as I am in the process of making a 3 speed geared milling spindle on the lines of the Quickstep mill.

    Hi C-Bag
Nothing special about the gauge, its main purpose is to set the top slide accurately before boring to an exact 8 degrees, also used for setting the depth.
It is important for ER type collets that the angle is correct as they compress at their full length.
Screen shot of a drawing (not mine) will explain it better, the drill shank holder was a prelude to making a thee speed spindle for milling on the style of the one pictured.
    Tool MUST be on c/Line.
