This is a little engraving tool, with a lozenge point.
It is made with a piece of square section HSS 3x3mm. It is inserted in a round section of mild steel (to avoid it engaging into the wood).

It is a repurposed handle, I would have preferred a mushroom shape,

This is curly ash, oiled, it's really good looking and nice for tool handles.
