Is there a link to a URL that details building this?
$400 seems a bit much. This looks a lot like a commercial offering.

I have to ask on what basis you modify all the "parameters" for various types of steel?
It would be helpful to have a few details about what your microprocessor is doing (and why) to make this unit $350 more expensive than a simple transformer/rectifier system.

Are you using a DC wall transformer or an AC transformer to power this unit?
