    A few months ago I mentioned to a 20-something about chewing on tin foil. He had no idea what I was talking about. I had to explain it to him. They've used plastic fillings for like 20 years. There's an entire generation of people who are completely unaware that chewing on tin foil feels bad.

    I hate to admit, I am a 70 something, Never heard of this before. It makes sense, but with all the crazy stuff I have done, this is not one of them.

    But I do remember that tinsel for Christmas tree decorating was made from lead..

    Maybe that is why I do not remember chewing on foil??

    I had all my amalgam fillings replaced by composite resin decades ago, worthwhile investment.
