I had for a number of years an adjustable Drill Guide or Stand, that is very useful to drill straight holes in the field and can be clamped to machinery or anywhere else. To maximize the use of the stand, I decided to bolt it to a piece of MDF with a center hole provided for clearance. Now is more stable in actual use.
