This simple addition to a small vise enables you to set it at an angle. By clamping the angled vise in a larger vise, you can drill holes at an angle.

I've seen "tangent bars" (the trigonometric cousin of the sine bar) that use the same principle. No need for a "stack" to get the proper height and the screw could be calibrated directly in degrees of inclination.
