    Well now did you get offended. I bean sharpening drill bits for 58 years by hand don't need any special fixtures or home made guiding devices. Any machinist or tool maker needs to learn how to sharpen drill bits by hand. Your picture showed the chisel edge or tang being in line with the cutting edge. One just don't hold the drill straight to the grinding wheel there has to be a rolling action to give you relive on the flutes if not you will create a heel. It seams to me people getting in the machining work make a big issue about sharpening a drill bit but its really not if your taught the proper way. Sorry you have a issue with my post
