Very nicely done, indeed. The secret to a tool that can be held and manipulated like a pencil is a high speed DC motor with the power source distanced from the tool; no batteries and an AC to DC converter in a wall wart with a light-weight, low drag cable to the tool.

Dremel finally woke up and put together their model 2050...

    https://www.amazon.com/Dremel-2050-1...73&sr=8-2&th=1

which embodies these design ideas but means buying yet another tool.

The Dremel flexible shaft was never great and, like all flex shafts, interfered with fine control of the tool because of its stiffness. Folks who have that flex shaft should seriously consider converting it as you have done.

Thank you. that was the point. I wanted a light and handy tool. I have three drmels and I have never used a flexible shaft as it is very uncomfortable. this is how the idea was born. Now I use it all the time. it is very convenient and easy

This is an interesting and useful idea. Thank you for not putting obnoxious music in the video.

    Dear Minicraft,
I like the idea to convert my (unused) flexible shaft.
Why not fit a switch into the hollow of the grip?
BTW: The Dremel 'collets' have way too much play. If you have access to a lathe make some tight fitting ones.

Thank you. I just didn’t have a small switch at hand, someday I’ll finalize it. As long as I am satisfied with the collets, I will use your idea if necessary. Thanks again
