    they seem to be about the middle size we use.
    As your soils are alkaline in most of SA do you use lots of manure to get a little more acidic or do you use some other method. When I visited the botanical gardens ( I'm a horticulturist & structural landscaper) in SA, I queried the garden staff about the tall size of Qld rainforest trees in the gardens and they exclaimed that the zoo is next door. Ha, ha. Plenty of elephant doo. Great recycling right next door!

    Yes. Lots of manure. You cam see the difference in the colour of the soil in the vegie patch as compared to the outside. Also have a few friends with pigions. That also seems to work. Bonemeal is another additive.
    Forgot to mention a trick i use when mixing mud (we call it DAGGA) a generous squirt of dishwashing liquid helps to make it more “elastic”

    we used that too as flocon was expensive. definately extended the usable time of use.
