    At first skeptical, my optimism not a trait regarding tools.
    That was before demonstration of cutting sectors with only portion of saw engaged, now convinced it's useful.
    Such as an opening with neatly radiused corners, far less tedious than jig-sawn.

    Surprised this hasn't popped in before, being at least a 1/3rd of us familiar with follow rests as used with lathes.

    Inspiring idea. I will definitely be making something similar. I might use a wing nut (perhaps with long wings) at the central axis point so I don’t need to find a suitable spanner too. Thanks for sharing.
