It’s always good to have a small tool tote on hand for projects outside the workshop. You can toss in a few hand tools, hardware, and fasteners, then easily transport those smaller items to the job site.
Plastic versions are popular, but don’t last long before they crack and deform, rendering them useless. Further damage results when they wind up in the local landfill.
Using scrap wood and reclaimed wood materials, you can make one of these totes in just a few minutes. Make several and have different totes already to go for specific maintenance jobs. One might contain special electrical tools, and parts. Another may have plumbing tools and parts, etc.
