    DIY air separator

This is a homemade air separator for my plasma cutter and sandblast cabinet. I made it portable so that I could use it at either the plasma cutter or the sandblast cabinet. Also allows the air more time to cool down from the compressor before it gets to the separator. It seems to work pretty good, check it out!

Very nice. And copper is not only safe for compressed air, it should conduct heat away from air better than black or galvanized pipe.
I'd add two things. A small separator at inlet; plexi bowl would make accumulation visible. Using petcocks or needle valve drains instead rather than ball valves, being easier to 'crack' open.
But it works! Not only Portable but Attached; big step saver.
    Sincerely,

Just a thought before you paint the copper. I think it would probably work better with no paint on it as copper is a good conductor of heat and would probably help it do its job better without paint at it. I also like the idea of petcocks for drainage. Just my 2 cents. Nice build.
