Doubt I shall make any more cabinets, this was very stressful, I don’t think I have the mentality to do it any more.
The variegated wood is mukwa, which a friend gave me. I suppose it might be called African walnut, and in fact I used a bit of walnut as I didn’t have enough for the short stretchers. The cabinets are reclaimed ash. The trim is recycled mahogany, and the knobs are probably rosewood, salvaged from a marimba.
The cabinets were made to display art and craft work donated to CCA furniture store, so you can see in them and on the table (also homemade, in ash) some of the stuff I’ve done.
