Wonderful concept, I wonder if modern iterations use a high pressure pump to atomize the fuel? The first one I saw just squirted liquid fuel in on the upstroke. Apparently the more the pile resists sinking the higher the hammer will bounce. This one is certainly not clean burning!
That looks fun, would have been fun back in the day. But I am sure my old bones should be trying that these days!!!
