Normally they're anodized, aluminum bodied locks are LOTO equipment [Lock Out Tag Out], of cast not drawn material.
This allows safety or designated personnel to break by hammering when responsible key-holder is affirmed not available, and no one will be jeopardized by energizing equipment.
