Hi All
I have made the gaskets for the traction engine cylinder block. The gasket paper I use was purchased years ago and as and when I need to cut out a gasket I just roll out the material and tape to a suitable cutting board. The rectangle gaskets are relatively easy to make. Simply marked out and cut, always starting from the middle and working out so the gasket is held in the larger sheet as long as possible to maintain rigidity of the gasket paper. The round gaskets use a cheap rotary cutting tool and again starting from the middle out. The stud holes on both the rectangular and round gaskets are punched using a wade punch.
Damaged gasket that needs replacing.

Middle hole cut and the old gasket taped so stud holes can be transferred.
