    I did also but the center ball was liquid filled. Probably around 1970. No idea at the time what the liquid was.

    Thats interesting. Thought it could have been silicone. Wonder if liquid filled are still used? I don't ever recall any advertisments claiming this on a package of balls.

    No, they're all solid plastic now. I use them a lot for tool and machinery handles. There's a thread of mine somewhere all about their use, so good to use and very cheap for what they are.
    If you use one as a handle end turn the hole in a lathe for centering and drill 2mm undersize and simply wack on.

    Which iron do you prefer to whack it on with? I would probably use my pitching wedge but perhaps a driver would give it more travel? Thanks for that info and happy Friday!
