    We had less comfortable trailers we called "cattle cars" at Camp Pendleton in the 60's. Same basic idea. It said "maximum capacity 30 passengers" or something close to that and we crammed in about 100 Marines with full combat gear and weapons. Fun times and pleasant ride, you should have been there.

    Driving a semi with a trailer loaded with standing soldiers, as I did in the Army, can easily get the trailer out of control.

    Hauling cows is the next worse thing.

    I'll bet Frank S wants that Freightliner semi-tractor/ sleeper, and wonders why they didn't use a more maneuverable day cab...

    There's lots of gravel haulers with sleepers on them, for which there is never a need. People use what they've got to use.
    If you can't make it precise make it adjustable.
