    As you may see from the colours, I was able to preserve the temper of the cutting end, while drawing out the tang, before bending it to an ogee.
    Of course, the first thing to do with this salvaged bodywork file blade was to grind off the teeth, easy enough to do, given the serrations are of uniform depth.

    Usually I fit handles which are disproportionately large: this one is too small, but it fits better in the drawer, and I don’t mind.
