If it takes batteries, I'll try to live without it. I did try out a 60v battery powered weed eater though and have thoughts about a 60v battery powered chain saw because if there is something I like less than batteries it is 2 cycle engines
Never try to tell me it can't be done

My main problem with battery operated tools is my infrequent use of them. Then when the time comes that I think I want to use one all of the batteries are dead The newer lion batteries don't seem to have much more on the shelf storage at a charged state than the older ones. The only difference being is they will re charge much faster a 2 ah 20v battery for my saws-all will not last as long as it takes to charge another one the 4 ah 20v will last long enough to fully charge a 2ah And I still only can get possibly 20 minutes of continued use out of a 4ah. My friend has a new flex volt weed eater with a 60v battery about an hour maybe an hour and a half and it is done The only reason why I am even considering a $500.00 60v chain saw is there is not a gas chain saw in the world that has a good enough air filter to keep the dust from long dead mesquite out of the engine So instead of buying another $500.00 Stihl gas that will have the piston worn out after a single season even with changing the filter with every tank full, I am thinking about buying one of their battery powered saws , the battery hopefully will last about as long as 2 tank fulls of gas which is about as long as I need it to last each time we haul fire wood anyway then we cut it up after we return to the house with a cored electric as we need it. My Sthil corded saw is a lot slower than the gas one is but all it ever needs is bar oil and the chain sharpened
