COMPACT ROUTER TABLE
I made this compact router table (aka mini router table), using a trim router, because I needed a table for medium cuts, keeping in mind that I have the Craftsman router table (60 x 36 cm) for regular cuts, and the Dremel Rotary Tool Shaper and Router Table (20 x 15 cm) for cutting small parts.
I used a router table “insert”, although instead of using it as an insert, I used it as a tabletop. In this way, the insert measurements determined the length and width of the table (20 x 19.1 cm), while the height was determined by the height of the trim router (27 cm).
In addition to the split fence included with the insert, I made a continuous fence for cuts where it is most convenient.
HORIZONTAL ROUTER
On the other hand, by placing the table horizontally, and holding the "insert" vertically, you have a HORIZONTAL ROUTER, which is useful for cutting tenons and mortises.
Regards.
