According to what I had read, those bales with up to 500 pounds. Lots of variables affect weight. They are sold for less that $400 US.

I see a JD cotton Harvester online for $780,000. At these prices the farmer has to harvest 1950 bales get $780,000. The is also not the only equipment needed to grow they crop and transport it to market. Then they still have to pay for: fuel, wages, maintenance, and all of the other expenses related to growing that crop and making a living.

It is a wonder any are still in business.
