(As a bit of a joke to the friend that started the #coathanger2020 project, I stole his video intro - skip the first 14 seconds if you're not into noisy introductions)
This is a coat hanger made from Black heart sassafras (a native timber available in Tasmania, Australia), and Aluminium round bar stock.
The timber is sawn, shaped and routed, and finished with a water based flooring varnish, the aluminium is offset-turned (AKA eccentrically turned), and profiled similar to the wooden routed edge.
Works well for hanging up my dust mask and welding hood!
