    Wonder what that filter would have looked like setting off an M80 inside of it, I know a mailbox doesn't do well.

    The last time I saw a actual "cherry bomb" was back in the early 70s in my mid teens. My Dad picked up a few boxes and we had fun.

    I have cleaned a stovepipe with bottle rockets. Shakes the soot right loose.

    Doesn't a firecracker leave a bunch of residue as it explodes? And that residue is now on the inside (theoretically clean) part of the filter so it will get sucked into the engine. Of course, this assumes the filter is being cleaned for reuse.
