My latest car restoration project

In US circles these seem rare. I'd probably remember what seems an ungainly (polite English for 'dang, that is ugly!) mode of transportation.
The European mindset has entirely different goals on many products.
But the shots of it under various stages of dismantling, before restoration show a lot of reinforced body and pan ribbing, compound curves, overall stiffness. More stout than the exterior would lead one to guess. Wow, that firewall took serious effort! Have to admit (once again, Citroen's aren't here in big numbers), never heard of one being shoddy, just not stylish. Does it ride with decent smoothness, minimal wind noise, and some degree of handling? Were they sold outside French mainland, in rugged areas without a lot of paved roads and remain serviceable?
Those are real tests of a car, to last long enough for it's style (or distinct lack of, lol) to gain appreciation.
Sincerely,
