So, I had this old cherry picker, (engine hoist?) that I wasn't really using in the barn. It was just taking up space. Since I converted the front of my tractor to a skid steer setup, I thought I'd mod the cherry picker to use as a crane on the front of the tractor. I mounted the plate to the back of the cherry picker and shortened the front outer legs to use as framework for the plate. I don't expect to lift anything too heavy, but caution will be observed...!

Here it is raised. That is about 15'!
I will probably look into replacing the manual cylinder with a hydraulic one as I have remotes in the front of the tractor...
