Cheap NOGA-type indicator holders - work great!!!

I purchased two camera mounts from an import tool dealer for $7 a piece. When received, I cut off the metric attachment bolts and welded them to SAE bolts to fit in some knock-off magnetic bases. The end result is a NOGA-style indicator holder for about $15 each as opposed to $100's. One tightening knob will hole the indicator in any position possible allowing for quick setups on the lathe or mill.

Confused here. Do you mean the camera mounts had Noga style arms...or you had Noga style arms and you bought the mag bases and adapted the arms to those bases?

So sorry! I meant that the camera arms were actually NOGA style knock-offs. They can be had very inexpensively and "converted" for other uses quite easily. I cannot begin to tell you how great these are to use around the shop. Wish I had done this a long time ago. I had always placed the NOGAs as an expensive passing fancy of mine until now.
I got the magnetic bases from HF at a parking lot sale for next to nothing.
