Hello Homemadetools!! Long time lurker. Thank you so much for this library of great ideas. Decided to quit lurking and finally submit something of worth to the forum. Here is a link to a video I did of a DIY vapor blaster / honer. I know there are two on here already and a few other "how to's" on the net but most are not complete nor inexpensive to create. This is the fourth reversion that I have done and it works GREAT! The best thing is the price....$336- for a complete set up.
Depending on what application you need it for, you can use different aggregates to either clean/prep parts or to polish them. In my workshop, I have two set ups. One to clean and one to polish. You won't believe how fast you can clean and restore a part to showroom finish. The low price of $336- will be paid for just within a few days of use. At modern day hourly wages, it won't take long to cover the investment of building one of these then it is pure profit.
Once again, thank you very much for creating this library of great ideas and hopefully you will find my video of value here. Have a great day!
