    That is a large saw for carving though most of the work is hand tools.

    I was watching a guy doing a commission at the Maleny wood show. He told me it was WINX and needed special attention due to muscle sizes etc. His only tool was a a battery Stihl saw with a bar about 12": very pretty to watch for a couple of hours (1/2 way through the carving).

    wow,I would pay $30 for that stool....delivered...nice work, witch I had the mind set to do it.I could make a nice sawdust pile....well I do make some nice sawdust piles..and I can sit on them too....or use for smoken some food on the grill like I did last night, smoked shrimps.I wonder what kind of wood it is.

    That would relate to about 1$ p.h.

    Name of lumber, for smoking shrimps(not for stools), probably something like Caridea ramenta or Ficus monodon & definately hopefully not "Pyrus calleryana".LOL. sorry just intoxicated by my vocabulary while labouring in erroneous suppositions=more LOL.

    I use apple,oak and some tymes some peach. (apple and oak last knight)

    Good, I 'd hate to think what shrimp smoked with P. calleryana would taste or smell like. We have them in our northern rainforests but I belive they are found elsewhere in the world so maybe not endemic here though native.

    last time I was in PI, things were oh so inexpensive, lots of carved stuff and much more. but that seems like a life time ago.such beautiful islands.people too.
