For this build I has used two identically pieces of hardened steel
that I had disassembled from an old machine at the junkyard before a couple of years
and probably can be about 50+ years old,
three pieces spacer ø22/ø10x36mm and two set bolts/nuts.
The third spacer has an ø4mm hole at the middle so as to be easy
to centering the base with the drill bit when installing at the drill press bed.
Also at the two lower spacers welded a piece of (L) shape iron 40x40x4mm about 20mm
to locking the base at the bed.
The first tests are available at my YouTube vid.
At the last test with the pipe: needed to push the pipe upwards by the hand (my drill bit setup was at least 0.5mm shorter than the needed).
