Have you ever wanted to put a ball bearing into a hole with enough clearance to freely move yet not fall out the bottom? A common method of doing this is to drill the hole through and then form tiny bumps at the opening. These bumps effectively reduce the diameter and capture the ball. The method presented here uses a modified carriage bolt, a nut, and a washer.
