This is a canoe I rigged up for sailing many years ago. Canadian canoe was 16' long so I couldn't use a single sail as it would have been too tall leading to constant capsizing so I sewed up two smaller sails. The wife handled the front sail and I handled the rear sail, leeboard and steering. This sailed extremely well, pointing very close up wind and was quite fast. We sailed the canoe all around the Mandurah estuary in WA and around all the small islands in Rockingham and Pt Peron. All with the dog hanging ten over the front. Very wet ride for the wife at speed though.
