Love the idea and size range. Being calibrated metrics is no drawback, but have no interest in trying to make one. To many issues, proper zeroing for starters, the price of commercial version is like 1/10 of potential shoptime.
A great solution when a surface plate and height gauge isn't called for, therefore a worthy purchase.
And I never scribe with a conventional caliper.

The one in the video has both metric and infernal scales. I have one of those and it has both scales.

Regarding calibration for those talking about modifying conventional calipers. That becomes a non-issue if you use digital calipers as the base. Close them up and set zero.
