This basic 16' yurt, built by Eric on TinyHouseBlog.com, sits on 1/3 acre on Whidbey Island in Washington. It's an off-the-grid, weekend getaway with a vintage ice box for a refrigerator, a gravity draining sink, and some basic furniture.

I still don't fully understand the utility of yurts, but the simplicity of this one might just win me over.
